Mascarpone, figs, and honey toasts for breakfast. These sweet toasts look exquisite and taste like a piece of morning paradise. The creamy mascarpone, the sweet figs, the golden honey, and the nutty crunch – it’s a harmonious blend that will make your mornings truly special.

Regarding styling, you can create visually stunning dishes with minimal tools, relying on technique and creativity, just like these toasts.
Here I have used a spatula to spread the mascarpone cheese as it is slightly coarse and difficult to spread evenly. Cutting the figs vertically added the edges and also exposed the beautiful inside. The gorgeous green and red on a white base contrast the color. For the garnish, I used green basil leaves and chopped pistachios.
Finally, drizzle honey for some shine. Your toast is ready which looks good and tastes amazing.

Ingredients

  • Slices of your favorite bread 4-5(we recommend a rustic, whole-grain variety)
  • Mascarpone cheese 200 gms
  • Fresh figs, sliced 5-6
  • Honey (preferably local or artisanal) 5 tbsps
  • Pistachios sliced
  • A pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Method

  1. Toast your bread slices until they’re nice and crispy.
  2. Let them cool down a bit. Spread mascarpone cheese evenly over the toast.
  3. Arrange the fig slices.
  4. Drizzle a generous amount of honey over the figs.
  5. Sprinkle pistachios over the toast. Basil leaves are optional. Enjoy your toasts
