Peaches are in season, and I wanted to create something with these precious stone fruits: Grilled peaches with date syrup and camel milk ice cream. I have a thing for turning dessert into a healthy breakfast. Just so that I can eat more without guilt.
Grilling peaches is such a fantastic way to enjoy them. Partly cooking the fruits makes them easier to digest and so delicious. I also add grilled fruits to my parfait.
This dessert is all about different textures. The crunch from the nuts, the soft sweet ice-cream and then the star ingredient……peach!!! The lovely subtle aroma of peaches with cinnamon is a combination to die for. Hope you try them before the summer gets over
Grilled peaches with ice cream

Preparation time: 5 mins
Serves 3-4
Cooking time: 15 mins
Ingredients
Peaches 5-6
Date syrup 2 tbsp
Butter 3 tbsp (melted)
Cinnamon ½ tsp
Camel milk ice cream 125 ml X 4(vanilla)
Crushed pistachios 2 tbsp
Edible flowers 10-12 (optional)
Method
- Slice the fruits and remove the seeds. Mix butter, Cinnamon and date syrup in a bowl.
- Brush the peaches lavishly with the mixture and place buttered side down. Let them sizzle and get prominent grill marks. It takes one and a half to two minutes.
- Serve the grilled peaches with your choice of ice cream. In my case vanilla-flavored camel milk ice cream. Drizzle more date syrup and add crushed pistachios.
