Well, anything that has mango is welcome. Desserts, drinks, frozen treats, pickles, etc., the list is endless. The fact that mangoes can combine with other exciting ingredients to create something new makes them the ‘King’ of fruits. It is a staple fruit right now in my fruit basket.
With the summer heat making its way, I thought a few refreshing mango drinks would help keep it cool. Thanks to soothing colors, these drinks look inviting and easy to whip up.
A Mango milkshake is the easiest cooling drink. I prefer making the puree ahead. This puree has a bit of shelf life and can be stored in the refrigerator for at least three days. I used three medium-sized Alphonso mangoes, which are sweet and have less fiber.

Cooking Time : 5 minutes
Serves : 4-5
Ingredients
- Mango puree 3 mangoes
- Vanilla ice cream 2 scoops
- Milk 500 ml
- Sugar 60 gms
- Ice cubes 10-12
Method
Cook the mango cubes with 30 gms sugar and a little water till the cubes become soft. Let it cool, and then run in a blender to get a fine puree. Store in an airtight container.
When it’s time to serve, place it in a blender with the rest of the ingredients (ice cream, ice, sugar, and milk) and blend until well combined. Serve chilled.
