Desserts are a special part of my life; I love styling as much as eating desserts. There are so many subcategories, such as frozen, baked, traditional, etc. Clubbing all the desserts under one heading and treating them the same way is probably not the best way to deal with this topic. However, here are a few simple things to keep in mind while styling desserts for light, airy images.
Set up: keep it minimal and stick to the theme.
Props: Use relevant props which make sense in the image.
Creative shots with hands and action shots.
Take some close-up shots to give the viewer a feel of the texture.
Edible and fresh props like chocolate chips, ground coffee, or fresh flowers help create the right scene.
Shooting for desserts is always fun when the products are beautiful; it makes it easier.
