Muhammara / roasted bell peppers dip

It’s wonderful to meet people from different cultures and learn a bit about them. It opens our minds and helps us grow. I find food as an interesting way to connect. Recently I got introduced to a unique dip called muhammara made with roasted red bell peppers and walnuts. 

How to use cheese in food styling

Cheese can be the hero, a prop, or garnish in a picture. Cheese seems to have a soothing effect in a colorful frame. I had some fun and some tense moments while shooting with cheese. It is a slightly tricky ingredient to work with; however, the results are beautiful when done right.

Mango ginger limeade

tarted with something else in mind and ended up creating a perfect summer drink with a zing. Mango ginger limeade is sweet, fizzy, and has a kick from the ginger. I wanted to prepare iced tea with some leftover mango puree but instead prepared limeade.

ummertime calls for loads of refreshing glasses of lemonade. Especially during the summer vacation after a short trip to the pool, requests for lemonade are difficult to ignore. Grapefruit honey lemonade is one of my favorite ways of enjoying lemonade.

Microgreens: tips and tricks on how to grow and preserve

As a food stylist, I know how crucial it is to keep the garnish fresh and perfect. And when I say garnish, I mean the herbs, microgreens, fruits, flowers, etc. In the beginning, during a shoot, I would rush to my nearest grocery when the garnish would wilt. And wilted or discolored herbs do not make great pictures. 

Palak paneer or Cottage cheese in spinach gravy

Palak or spinach gravy with paneer is a popular Indian dish. It is vegetarian and loved by all in the subcontinent. There are numerous versions of this dish with cottage cheese, chicken, and even potatoes or chickpeas. However, growing up on the cottage cheese version, I am kind of partial to it.
